Friday, Feb 19:
Location: South Dojo (Fitness Plus, 10401 Braeside Dr SW)
6:45-9:00 pm: All ages and belt levels
Saturday, Feb 20:
Location: Main Gym, Dalhousie Community Centre (5432 Dalhart Road NW)
12:00-1:00 pm: Mat set-up & Registration
1:00-2:30 pm: Beginners* (white to green belt) and children 6 and under (*Intermediate & advanced students welcome to attend)
3:00-4:30 pm: Intermediate / Advanced (purple, brown and black belts)
5:00-6:00 pm: Brown & Black Belts (all advanced students are welcome, but there will be a focus on preparation for upcoming tournaments: US Open & International Junior Cup, Las Vegas, March 2016 and Karate Alberta Provincial training camp in May 2016)
Sunday, Feb 21:

About Chris De Sousa Costa:
Chris is a recently retired member of the Canadian National Karate Team. He started on the National Team in 2004 and ended his career after the 2015 Pan-American Games, where he was team captain. He is currently the athlete representative on Karate Canada’s High Performance Committee, as well as Karate Canada’s Board of Directors. Chris is an 11 time Canadian Champion, 3 time Canadian Athlete of the Year, 2 time Junior Pan-American Champion, 3 time North American Champion, 2009 US Open Champion, 2 time Commonwealth Champion, 5th place finisher at the Junior World Championships, 2 time 5th place finisher at the French Open, and 2012 Senior Pan-American Silver Medalist. Chris gives commit seminars across Canada, helping develop the next generation of Canadian karate athletes.
On top of his karate knowledge, Chris has a strong passion for Crossfit and works as a coach to help athletes surpass their own personal goals (see All In One Strength & Conditioning / CrossFit AIO).
